Eye On Romance: Rape in Romance Novels and the ability to flag books with this content

I've been listening to the Smart B*tches, Trashy Books podcasts, specifically #118 discussing rape appearing in romance novels. Sarah discusses how it would be great to have a database that was searchable for stories with rape in the story,... or back story. This would be a flag to help readers identify if this was a book that might cause them distress (or not). Eye On Romance has the largest romance novel database (to my knowledge) on the internet with literally hundreds of thousands of books. Starting next week I will be adding a rubric which will add identifiers to books that have rape and/or sexual assault in the story. This will help readers who are browsing our very large database to know what the book may or may not pertain. As it will be an ongoing work in progress it may take some time. If you KNOW of a book already that contains rape and/or sexual assault please email the book title and author to as it will be helpful as we go along. And as a sidenote, it won't take a grant or a billionaire to fund this - we have all the tools available on our team to do this easily and stay tuned as we start adding this next week to and our community of websites.
